I moved to Phoenixville 17 years ago to be a part of the school district and community, and now I am beyond proud to be a teacher at the middle school. Helping a child find their love for music is something I inspire to everyday. Teaching my students to play the piano or create their own songs in the keyboard lab (so cool that we have one) or helping them perform their best in a choral concert or musical are just some of the ways I see kids show their passion for music. Some of my favorite days during the school year are auditions and final performances for both the Spring Spectacular and the Talent Show. Seeing the courage and hidden talents the children have just amaze me and sometimes even bring me to tears. During these proud moments, I find myself saying, “Can I have your autograph?” Bringing the Bucket Band to the middle school has been a fabulous experience. The kids and I took a risk on something new and now the enthusiasm, participation and creativity have grown. As a teacher I was honored to have the opportunity to take Vocal Fusion, our high school A Capella group, to Memphis to perform in a competition. Knowing I had a part in my former student’s appreciation for music makes me want to come to work every day. Educate and create…that’s what it’s all about in the music wing at PAMS!
So…you want to know more about me??? I AM… ~ A wife and mom of three daughters all who have gone through PASD ~ An Ithaca College music education graduate who plays the piano ~ 100% Albanian ~ A “Broadway at the Beach” camp owner ~ A trustworthy friend ~ A novice photographer, book reader and “foodie” ~ Not afraid of heights and have gone skydiving ~ A sand & sea and musical lover ~ Lucky enough to have sung the National Anthem at the Phillies Game and performed in an Opera at the Academy Of Music ~ A wannabe Broadway star!
