Made possible with funding from the Phoenixville Community Education Foundation, 8th grade science has a functioning aquaponics system. The system uses fish, their waste, and helpful bacteria to provide plants with the nutrients they need. Students have been harvesting lettuce, herbs, and greens throughout the Spring. Students were even able to use their STEM skills to build a 2nd, budget version!
