“Alone we can do so little: together we can do so much” ~Hellen Keller

We have all experienced challenges over the past year and a half, however, we have managed, learned, and hopefully become better people.

Project growing together is an effort to connect students and staff, (6ft. distanced with masks), to create a sense of safety with friends, discuss past good times, future dreams, and to laugh!

The flowers were made from all recycled material, and were cut and painted by students, each one reflecting their own unique style and personality. They were arranged to reflect all beautiful differences and show the growing of togetherness and pride that results in “the purple and the white”.

During the spring and summer months ahead, several more adults and students will join Project Growing Together by utilizing the schools’ greenhouse and garden beds to grow flowers and vegetables. In addition to growing, students will learn the process of composting food waste to add to the nutrients in the soil. The produce will be given to our local food bank, as is the Penn’s Civilians Educational Organization club tradition, and flowers will be given to appreciate our teachers.
If you are interested in donating pots, potting soil, seeds, plants and garden tools, please drop the items off at the PAMS main office by April 30th. Or, if you would like to volunteer time on weekends to water and weed, please contact Chris Sketch at 484-927-5200.
