Schuylkill's Talented Isabelle Gottfried
Posted on 02/13/2017
There is a star amongst us...Schuylkill Elementary School is proud to have Isabelle Gottfried as one of their 5th grade students. Isabelle will be singing the national anthem again in NYC. This time, it will be at Madison Square Garden. She will be singing for the opening of the NY Rangers vs. the Washington Capitals on Sunday February 19th, 2017 at 12:30 pm. It will be televised on NBC.
Isabelle has been doing musical theatre classes with FaceTime Theatre since she was in kindergarten, but really started focusing on her talent about 1.5 years ago when she was accepted into The Broadway Dreams program. She has visited NYC for several Broadway auditions (Matilda, Fun Home, Sound of Music, Annie, Frozen, Anastasia). This year she was again invited to do the BDF NYC showcase at the Lincoln Center where the top performers from the program perform in front of 200 of NYC casting directors and agents. Through BDF she was invited to sing the National Anthem for the Nat'l Law Enforcement and Firefighters Children's Foundation. This foundation was formed just after 9-11 to help support the family and loved ones of our Fallen Heroes. She was able to meet Rudy Gulliani and was so proud to sing for our countries finest. Congratulations to Isabelle and her family. Keep shining! Remember to tune in on Feb. 19th.
